To support the Inventory and Logistics Manager in ensuring all administrative duties are performed effectively to include weekend cover (1.5 hours to be agreed with Logistics and inventory manager). To utilise systems and communication tools to collect andgather data for effective reporting for the Supply Chain management team.Duties• Support in the development of inventory management with the goal to control costs within budget, generate savings, rationalise inventory and maximise the working capital available.• Manage stock levels of all Inventory across on site and external warehouses and complete posting of sales orders as necessary, performing physical stock count duties as and when required (to be agreed with Inventory and logistics manager).• To ensure stock is in correct warehouse location to meet customer demands i.e. Lineage to ACS&T.• Work with purchasing and planning to ensure that any shortage queries involving inventory discrepancies are checked and completed.• Play a key role in the month and year end inventory counts, both the primary and secondary counts as well as investigations afterwards.• Maintain and develop SAP system, ensuring stock movements are correct utilising all external providers WMS systems.• Work with internal departments such as Customer services and planning to minimise and reduce short dated and obsolete stocks via concessions, selling to discounters etcRequired knowledge, skills or experience• GCSE or equivalent• Experience in a similar role, using SAP, preferably in a manufacturing environment.• Experience working within a company which uses third party warehouse and monitoring stock levels in conjunction with onsite warehouse teams.• Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point & Outlook.Additional InformationLocation: SeahamHours of work: Monday - Friday 8am-5:30pmRates of pay: £10.53 per hourThis vacancy is being advertised on behalf of Gem Partnership Ltd who are trading as a recruitment business.
