Are you a qualified Teaching Assistant looking for work in a school Perhaps you have similar relevant experience and are hoping to start a career working with young people in schools If so, AK Teaching would love to hear from you.AK Teaching are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant for one of our partner primary schools in Seaham. The role is full-time, commencing immediately and primarily involves working on a one-to-one basis with a learner who has autism to provide the extrasupport he needs to succeed. However candidates with a willingness to support all learners in the class when needed would be very welcome.The school, based in central Seaham, is easily accessible by public transport and have a very friendly and welcoming team. Working hours would be from 8.30am until 3.45pm.The ideal Teaching Assistant for the school would possess a Level 2 (or ideally Level 3) qualification, although previous professional experience working closely with individuals with autism would also be considered. You should be outgoing and confident,with a caring outlook and a passion for giving the students you are supporting the best possible opportunity to achieve their potential.As with all of our candidates, the successful Teaching Assistant must possess a DBS certificate, ideally on the updates service, or be willing to apply for one (AK Teaching can provide full assistance to achieve this).
