Job Description

The CompanyWorking on a continental shift pattern with a competitive salary of circa £48,000, plus regular opportunities for overtime.Nigel Wright is pleased to be supporting a leading manufacturer in the North East with their recruitment of a Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician. The role is part of a dedicated maintenance team based in Seaham.This is an excellent opportunity for any Multi Skilled or Electrical Maintenance Technician who is looking for a varied role with exposure to all aspects of engineering.The RoleThe Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician is responsible for the following –

  • Effectively responding to all reactive and preventative maintenance activities
  • Generating practical engineering solutions to support production process
  • PLC fault finding
  • Inspect, Repair, and Test components
  • Installation and maintenance of all electrical systems
  • Calibrate equipment to provided specification
  • Effectively responding to mechanical and electrical breakdowns across site
Person SpecificationThe successful Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician will have the following –
  • HNC or equivalent within an engineering discipline
  • Experience working within a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Completed a recognised apprenticeship
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of fault finding and root cause analysis
  • Strong communication skills, working effectively within a team
