Job Description

HR GO are looking recruit a Hygiene Coordinator for their prestigious client based in Seaham.This role will support the Quality Assurance Manager in the Hygiene function of the company.Reporting to the QA Manager, duties include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee the day to day cleaning operation for Operations and Office areas
  • Support the Hygiene Supervisor managing the cleaning service for the site
  • Prepare daily and periodic cleaning schedules for all Production hygienists and Warehouse hygienists
  • Conduct daily audit to:
    • Monitor that general and periodic cleaning tasks are carried out to the standards required using various cleaning methods whilst adhering to Health & Safety principles
    • Monitor washing and sanitation of plastic production tools (brushes, scrapers, etc), wellington boots and shoes and their removal from high care.
    • Monitor the replenishment of disposable PPEs, soap, hand sanitiser, wipes
    • Monitor the cleaning of the changing rooms
    • Monitor that areas of high care are regularly checked, that sweeping of floors, gantry and steps happens and that floors are scraped periodically, trays emptied, and waste bins emptied
    • If items are not clean address issue to the Hygienist Supervisor
  • Be present and coordinate the clean downs, in order to
    • Monitor the cleaning, by
      • ensuring that cleaning plan is followed
      • Check the cleaning of equipment and high care areas
      • ATP swabbing of areas as for schedule
      • Support the shift supervisor on the cleaning supervision
  • Prepare the ATP rota schedule, as for EMP
  • Conduct weekly chemical titrations
  • Monitor that all chemicals are used correctly and in line with the instructions from the chemical suppliers
  • Monitoring that all chemicals are replenished in CIP system in line with Health & Safety principles
  • Review cleaning instruction cards and cleaning procedures
  • Audit scrape downs and support with improvements of such operation
  • Facilitate the training of all hygienists and cleaners and ensure the Supervisors are conducting regular refresher training
  • Support the Hygienist supervisor in monitoring the laundry service
  • Managed the high care lockers by issuing them to staff and coordinate the pool lockers
  • Manage the distribution of the Low care lockers to staff.
The salary is £25,500 - £28,000 per annum, depending upon experience.
