The Company you will be working for;Our client is an established and highly successful company based in Seaham. They are currently looking for a Finance Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. If you are interested and meet the person specification of the job role, please applybelow.The Role you will be doing;
  • Participate in the month end close process ensuring all accounting transactions are processed accurately and promptly, in line with Accounting Standards.
  • Provide operational variance analysis and overhead expenditure with appropriate commentary to support operational management identifying financial risks and opportunities for departments so managers can respond in a timely manner.
  • Be responsible for external reporting requirements including VAT and Intrastat reporting.
  • Assist in implementation and maintenance of Financial systems to measure performance against established standards.
  • Work with Shared Services to support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Queries and perform approvals in line with authorization matrix, ensuring goods receipts are made on-time and in-line with internal controls.
  • Participate in annual budget process taking ownership of company budget and co-ordinate the payroll budget.
  • Provide stock control on-site for Warehouse goods and spare parts, ensuring financial accuracy and in-line with accounting standards.
  • Participate in annual audit requirements, providing input.
About you;
  • Possess strong analytical and communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Experience working within a similar financial position.
  • Excel knowledge.
  • Exposure to month end closing and plant costing.
  • SAP experience is desirable.
  • Strong business analysis skills.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Presentation Skills - especially to senior audience.
  • High degree of ethics.
  • Strong values - Commitment, Perseverance, Effort and Significance.
