A key task is to manage the design and specification of the equipment, source contractors, and to manage the installation of the electrical infrastructure from the High Voltage substation through the whole system to the processequipment. Secondary tasks include, manage the design and installation of the optical sorting equipment, and become the company expert / authority for all polymer optical sorting activities. And to manage the design and installation of polymer wash plantsand become the company expert / authority for wash plants and associated equipment.The Biffa division youll be supporting.Within Resources & Energy we focus on the treatment, recycling and disposal of waste. It provides a number of treatment services for those materials that can be recovered and landfill disposal for those that are not suitable for recyclingor energy recover.Our Polymers business is a leading producer of recycled plastic compounds from its facilities in Redcar, Seaham and Washington. Redcar products include HDPE the plastic used in the production of milk bottles - the plant was the first ofits kind in the world and the site at Redcar is currently undergoing further expansion. Our Seaham plant is capable of converting 57,000 tonnes of PET plastic a year. Equivalent to 1.3bn plastic bottles. And our plant in Washington recycles Polypropylene Pots,Tubs, and Trays.Why its an opportunity not to be wasted. You will manage and authorise all electrical supply designs, installations and modifications across Polymers 3 sites ensuring compliance with current legislation and insurance requirements Manage projects and project spend within agreed budget while ensuring the projects run to time Maintain engineering documents and site plans ensuring they are accurate and up to date Manage the design and source Optical Sorting systems and act as the company expert / authority Manage the design and source Wash Plant systems and act as the company expert / authority Manage contract labour ensuring projects are effectively supported ensuring health and safety standards are maintained Carry out any other such reasonable job-related tasks as the company may require you to undertake from time to timeRequirementsHeres what we require:Understand engineering drawings and principlesManagement of process and lean improvement projectsAchieving clearly defined KPIsNumeracy and ability to understand numerical dataBe able to use AutoCad and Project Management softwareIntermediate Microsoft package IT skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.BenefitsAnd heres why youll love it at Biffa.
