Job Description

My client is a well established, global freight forwarder looking for an experienced Customs Supervisor to join their busy team!Daily duties will include:

  • Responsible for overseeing the customs department ensuring compliance production of UK import and export declarations
  • Preparation and processing of relevant paperwork
  • Handling queries regarding customs - commodity codes, duty rates and licenses
  • Liaising with HMRC and relevant parties
  • Calculation of DUTY & VAT rates per consignment
  • Working closely with the tram to ensure all tasks are completed to satisfaction and on time
    • Requirements:
  • MUST have previous experience in a customs role or freight forwarding background ideally at supervisory level
  • Excellent knowledge of customs processes and legislation
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Detailed understanding of import and export procedures, entry types e.g IPR, OPR and CFSP.
  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written
    • Working hours are Monday - Friday 0900am - 1730pm, flexible with regards to working remotely or in the office however will have to travel to office a minimum of 2 days per week.**SUITABLE CANDIDATES WILL BE CONTACTED IN 24 HOURS** Required skills
