Job Description

We’re looking for a Food and Beverage Assistant Manager to assist with the management of our new cafe at The Lodge Nature Reserve.Food & Beverage Assistant ManagerReference: FEB20248700Location: RSPB UKHQ - The Lodge, Sandy, Beds, SG19Salary: £23,489.00 - £25,216.00 Per AnnumHours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7, daytime shifts including weekend working. Our Food and Beverage teams raise vital funds which enable us to carry out globally importantconservation work in the race to save nature.Key Skills Areas:

  • Support the Food and Beverage Manager in leading the Food and Beverage team in day-to-day operations.
  • Awareness of budgets, controlling costs and maximising income.
  • Monitors targets to deliver organisational goals.
  • Able to maintain positive relationships, working collaboratively with the wider Reserve team.
  • Supervisory skills including shift leading, monitoring team training progress and completion of day-to-day compliance paperwork.
  • Provides a warm welcome for our visitors, is helpful and friendly with a positive attitude.
  • Maintains food hygiene and health and safety standards in the work environment.
  • Assists with the development of a new outlet within the RSPB brand at our Headquarters location and supporting the Food and Beverage Manager with development and implementation of future offers on site.
