We work to ensure their voices are heard, and campaign to bring lasting change to theirlives.About the Role:Staffordshire Emotional Health and Wellbeing Services delivers a range of support to children, young people and their families from 519 (and up to 25yrs for children with SEND) across 2 hubs in the Staffordshire area (Newcastle -under-Lyme and Rugeley).Our aim is to transform and improve outcomes for Children and Young People with mild to moderate EHWB problems, specifically those who are vulnerable and at risk. Our Service is required to respond at the earliest possible opportunity using short, EvidenceBased interventions along with information, advice, and guidance (IAG), through our digital partners. The collaborative model is designed to increase resilience and reduce the development of more entrenched mental health issues.As a Wellbeing Practitioner youll be:

  • Acting as a senior practitioner to deliver specialist IAPT interventions on a 1:1 basis or in a group or community setting.
  • Helping to develop clinical pathways for the interventions.
  • Supervising less experienced colleagues.
  • Taking responsibility for day-to-day resource planning to ensure high quality services are delivered continued improvements are made.
  • Providing a high-quality service to children, young people and their families, based on an assessment of need and which is outcomes driven.
  • Attending and participating at relevant multi agency meetings.
What Youll Bring:Our job description for the Wellbeing Practitioner outlines the requirements of the role but the must-haves are:
  • Childrens Wellbeing Practitioner IAPT or equivalent.
  • The ability to keep the child and or young people as the focus and ensure their feelings and wishes are represented in meetings and record keeping.
  • Experience of managing cases, in accordance with agreed procedures and completing assessments, planning and reviews to ensure positive outcomes.
  • A working knowledge of an outcome-based approach to planning, delivering and reviewing services.
  • The ability to engage people at all levels to build working relationships including multi-agency working.
  • Access to a car. The job requires the ability to travel according to the needs of the job, with reasonable adjustments, if required, according to the Equality Act.
