Job Description

Job Title: Software Systems EngineerLocation: Rugeley (Hybrid)Salary: Up to £50,000 DOEThis is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Software Systems Engineer to join a successful Software Company in Rugeley.The successful candidate will need to have a passion for engineering things and working with software, software systems, IT, Azure and databases. Along with the ability to code!Responsibilities:

  • Develop, design and deploy IT, IloT and MES Solutions across various software platforms (Microsoft, GE and PTC)
  • Develop and maintain system software
  • Develop software plugins using common languages to fill gaps within product-based solutions
  • Provide technical support to customers
  • Identify, resolve system issues and maintain system performance
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards
  • Participate in the development of system architecture
  • Use UX principles to ensure user interface development follows standards
  • Ensure project lifecycles meet the companys ISO standards (9001 and 27001)
  • Collaborate with other teams in order to develop solutions
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience of software development, systems engineering and architecture
  • Expert knowledge of software development technologies and tools, such as C#, JavaScript, Azure, SQL, Postgres.
  • Experience with Web Technologies and Architectures
  • Experience with system integration and distributed systems.
  • Demonstrated skills and understanding of the configuration and development of software and IT based infrastructure
  • Understanding of networking and communication technologies
  • Appreciation of industrial systems and environments
