Job Description

The Role & Key Responsibilities Job Title: Raw Material PlannerLocation: Rugeley, UK, WS15 1RDContract and Shift details: PermanentMondayFriday 37.5hrs per weekHave you got experience of managing material planning, stock movements or ordering and shipping of materials and products in a manufacturing environment If so, we have an opportunity for you!You will be part of a team of 7 who cover imports, planning, outbound logistics and raw material planning which is where you will have responsibility for ensuring that we have the right raw materials in the right place at the right time to ensure that wecan manufacture our premixes to order.We produce around 200tonnes of product a day for animal feed and supplements for the agricultural farm, equine and pet industry. If there is an animal that needs a vitamin or supplementary food support, we make a product that helps. Using internal systemsand excel you will understand our material stock including whats at the warehouse. You will work with suppliers in the UK and oversees to order material stock using a PO system and invoicing so we can manufacture on time and in full when production orderscome in.Our raw materials are made up of ingredients that include vitamins, minerals, amino acids and other technical compositions so you will need to have the ability to understand technical recipes and multiple variations of ingredients as well as quality, regulatoryand safety requirements for all materialsThis is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for a varied role in a business production environment as part of a well-established team. This is a great entry route for progression and development to wider buying and procurement teams.To be successful we are looking for some of the flowing knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Previous experience of stock management/material planning or product ordering
  • Great customer service experience ideally with exposure to 3rd party suppliers
  • Good knowledge of MS packages such as Outlook, Excel and Teams
  • Ability to learn bespoke IT systems such as ordering processing software or stock management
