Job Description

A leading provider of Engineering Maintenance Provider has an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Assistant to join their expanding FM team paying up to £21,000 per annum. This position is based in Rugby.Key responsibilities include:

  • As required, collection of bulk goods, prepare items for dispatch and collection
  • To ensure all Recorded, Special Delivery, Signed for and courier items are delivered and appropriate signatures are received
  • As required and with use of franking machine or the appropriate online supplier services, prepare all mail and courier items of collection and dispatch
  • Liaise closely with the other departments to support the wider site FM/Logistics Team by undertaking tasks that enhance the overall customer experience
  • Meeting rooms set-ups, logistical support to maintenance team, delivery of cleaning consumable to specific locations, assisting with the delivery of liquid nitrogen, chaperoning of service providers and contractors
  • Conduct all work tasks in a safe, secure and clean manner, ensuring that contract and site rules and procedures are adhered to at all times
  • Conduct general housekeeping tasks including up-keep of the contacts facilities, stores, yards and buildings
  • Communicate with customers face-to-face and/or over the telephone to ensure a professional and polite service delivery
  • To carry out all reasonable tasks that may be requested from time to time by the client or management
  • To provide site logistics and concierge services in line with contract Service Delivery Plan
  • The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Good time management skill and a methodical approach
  • Good interpersonal, relationship building and communication skills
  • A customer focused approach, exhibiting a reliable and responsible attitude
  • Ability to work on own initiative within a multi-disciplined team
  • Smart, presentable appearance
  • Basic IT skills including MS software with an interest in learning new technologies to improve efficiency and service
  • The candidate will be adaptable and flexible and have a customer-focused approach to work
  • Must satisfy any reasonable request from Management
  • Must be willing to undertake administrative duties as and when required
  • Must be willing to undertake a multi-functional role
