Job Description

Engineering Manager£65,000 - £72,000Rugby Days Only (Mon-Fri)gap technical are proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for an Engineering Manager to work at their facility based near Rugby.Performance Objectives

  • Ensure site compliance with all regulatory and corporate environmental, health and safety standards.
  • Provide clear leadership, direction and accountabilities for the Engineering team ensuring that they meet business requirements whilst maintaining quality standards.
  • Promote safety and environmental issues to raise awareness of company and legal compliance requirements across the site, providing direction on safety and environmental needs to comply with competency requirements.
  • Provides direction, leadership, strategy, and support to the Engineering Team to enable the plant to deliver quality products.
  • To provide input to the site safety committee.
  • Manage implementation of maintenance schedules and other maintenance tasks.
  • In conjunction with Plant Management and Senior Management, develop business strategy for the site engineering function, managing resources to meet Company goals.
  • Experience of project planning and ability to liaise with other departments to ensure all requirements are met.
  • Track and monitor fixed and variable costs and continually improve the cost base of the plant on a sustainable basis.
  • Identify capital programs with the Plant which sustains the operations and provides compliance to legislative requirements.
  • Direct plant operations for the manufacture of products in accordance with process, product specifications and quality standards.
  • Establishes, maintains, and develops an effective working relationship with all Plant customers through performance, contact and communication.
  • Implement sustainable systems of work with tracking and monitoring to achieve plant KPIs and budgets.
Person Specification
  • University Degree or equivalent.
  • Computer Skills: MS Office, Drawing Packages, Integrated Safety, SAP.
  • 5 years plus experience within a manufacturing environment as an Engineering Manager.
  • An understanding of high-speed manufacturing and support requirements is essential.
  • Able to demonstrate working with budgets and control.
  • Recognised engineering and continuous improvement qualifications, Lean, SMED, Greenbelt.
  • Proven leadership experience.
  • Experienced in managing and delivering large scale change.
