Join our community.The Compliance function has a key role in helping Santander UK plc to manage and minimise its exposure to conduct and regulatory risk. The role of the Compliance Monitoring Team is to help the business in ensuring that they protect the best interests of ourcustomers, that they maintain a high level of integrity in complying with the requirements of the FCA or other regulators, whilst remaining commercial. The Compliance Monitoring Manager will be responsible for taking a leading role in delivery the Compliance Monitoring Programme for Santander UK plc with a specific focus on conducting monitoring across Santanders Wealth Management division, including investmentpropositions. The role will involve stakeholder management at a senior level, in particular the provision of timely and relevant reporting delivered to the Head of Compliance Monitoring, and where necessary supporting the company in dealings with relevant regulatory bodiesand key external stakeholders. • Supporting the Head of Compliance Monitoring in establishing a risk-based monitoring programme and timetable for Senior Management approval, ensuring that the programme is reviewed and where necessary refreshed on a quarterly basis
• Executing the Compliance monitoring programme in accordance with the agreed timetable.
• Designing, preparing and following written test plans, delivering draft and final reports of all reviews in agreed format.
• Challenging and investigating conduct and regulatory risk matters, ensuring risks have been identified, assessed, managed and reported effectively.
• Tracking and monitoring agreed actions arising from compliance monitoring reviews and supporting the Head of Compliance Monitoring in the provision of periodic status reports
• Ensuring all advice/solutions are delivered in a commercial and pragmatic manner and meet the "keep it simple" test

What youll bring.

• Knowledge and experience of investment products and services, including the regulatory requirements associated with them, and the operational working of an investment platform. Experience of assessing against FCA rulebooks including Client Money & Assets(CASS), COBS, SYSC, SMCR, PROD & MiFID.
• Ability to analyse and evaluate complex risk issues with sound judgement in determining appropriate actions/solutions with effective verbal and written presentation skills.

It would also be nice for you to have.

• Experience of assessing risk controls within a Compliance, Risk or Assurance function.
• Demonstrable negotiation, influencing and communication skills with an ability to communicate and network effectively and form strong relationships with business stakeholders
