Job Description

Dynamic Controls Ltd (DCL), is a leading Valve, Manifold and Flow Control supplier for critical and demanding applications.DCL’s major markets include Defence and Nuclear which are significantly expanding.DCL is entering a major growth phase in all of its key markets.Customers include many leading global "Blue Chip" Engineering / Technology companies.Scope:The position is responsible for the leadership of our Assembly, Test and Despatch departments, ensuring that customer requirements and business goals are met in a safe and efficient manner.Responsibilities:Day to day management of staff and activities within the department. Coordinating all activities.Work with the Production Planner and Machine Shop Supervisor to ensure the business achieves its agreed targets and KPIs, E.g., Customer on time delivery, zero product non-conformances.Setting clear goals/targets for the fitting team members. Monitor and re-asses progress in order to achieve daily output targets.Attend and actively participate in Daily and Weekly Production Dept meetings and Project teams as and when required to fulfil customer and business requirements.Endeavour to increase speed and efficiency of the manufacturing processes without compromising safety or quality.Work closely with the Operations Manager, QA Engineers and the Production Planner to highlight any issues/improvements that can be made on existing products and support the release of new products.Monitor team and individual performance and report to the Operations Manager. Listen to team members feedback and resolve any conflict.Ensure health and safety procedures are always observed and maintain a good standard of housekeeping across production.The Person:Previous experience in a Supervisory role.Able to lead and motivate.Self-motivated.Excellent problem-solving abilities.Good organisational skills.Good communicator, written and oral.Complete tasks in timely manner.Good organizational skills.Ability to work and make decisions under pressure.Computer literate - proficient on Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word.Desirable Skills:Pressure testing & equipment knowledge.Product assembly methods.Experience in a Valve or Flow Control business.
