Job Description

My clientis an accountancy firm part of a national network of accountants who are experts in helping small business owners and self-employed people with all of their tax and accountancy needs. With an open and friendly approach and upfront, fixed-fee pricing,they arestraightforward to understand and provide real value for money. They specialise in all businesses with a turnover of £500kor less, mainly with smaller businesses and work with fixed fees.You will be involved in all aspects of the business, preparation of accounts, self-assessments, tax and VAT returns for a varied portfolio of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.You’ll report directly to the principle, you’ll be working within a small team environment.To be considered, you will be:- Studying or recently completed your AAT/ATT/ACA/ACCA qualification or equivalent or be qualified by experience- Have minimum 2 years Accounting experience, part of which MUST be within a practice of accountants- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel etc) Xero and Quickbooks- Experienced preparing year end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, and VAT returns- Accustomed to liaising with clients and resolving queries- A team player, professional and organised, with excellent interpersonal, numeracy, written and planning skills, able to build rapport and work well with clients
