Job Description

The CompanyDynamic Controls Ltd. (DCL), is a leading Valve, Manifold and Flow Control supplier for critical and demanding applications.DCL’s major markets include Defence and Nuclear which are significantly expanding.DCL is entering an exciting major growth phase, with significant growth in all markets.Customers include many leading global "Blue Chip" Engineering / Technology companies.Scope:The position is responsible for the leadership, management, and operational performance of every stage of the production flow, from purchasing raw materials, through to the delivery of the final product.Responsibilities:

  • The Procurement, Planning, Machine Shop, Warehouse, Assembly, Test and Despatch functions.
  • Leading, mentoring and development of an operational team leader structure of 4 direct reports.
  • Delivering operational best practice through 5S and Continuous Improvement,
  • Ensuring Plans, Schedules and manpower are "balanced" to ensure targets are met on a cost-effective basis
  • Managing inventory and WIP, to ensure inventory records are accurate and materials are available at the right time to support customer demands.
  • Ensure the production team are efficiently resourced to manufacture and deliver products based upon customer requirements.
  • Managing supplier and operational performance / strategy.
  • Enhancing suppler performance and operational KPI’s.
  • Ensuring quality and customer requirements are exceeded, while maintaining on time delivery performance.
  • Developing and enhancing all stakeholder relationships including suppliers, team members and other business functions.
  • Designing and implementing measures aimed at minimizing costs (consumption of materials, packaging, labour, and fixed costs) and increasing the quality of production.
  • Ensuring and promoting best health and safety practice.
  • Team management and development, appraisals, and mentoring.
  • The Person:A team orientated, can do, positive persona and outlook a prerequisite.The application and operational experience of an integrated ERP such as SAP or Oracle or similar advantageous. A demonstrable, good management track record is an essential requirement for this position, ideally in an Engineering or Technical field.Degree qualified, strong educational background.
