Job Description

Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a large partnership school based in Risca. We are looking to recruit a dedicated and reliable educator who is passionate about supporting children with additional learning needs. The role will entail supportinga pupil in Year 2 who needs support with their social and emotional development. We are looking for an educator who is reliable, nurturing and has a calm manner.What will the role involve

Supporting a pupil on a 1:1 basis
Providing social and emotional support to the specific pupil
Motivating and ensuring the pupil is trying to achieve above target levels
Supporting the pupil throughout all areas of the curriculum
Adhering to safeguarding procedures
Leading interventions such as guided reading, numeracy, and literacy support
Supporting the class teacher with implementing targets for the pupil whilst ensuring the pupils needs are adhered to
Managing positive classroom behaviour

The school is in the centre of Risca and is easily accessible via public transport. The school has a strong support team who will support you through all elements of the role. The headteacher has an open-door policy where no question is too much and adviceand support is always given.For this role, school-based experience is not essential. The pupil gravitates well to someone who has an interest in sports and drama. Additionally, we have found that those from a care background have worked extremely well.Essential Requirements
