Job Description

Responsible for supporting the Technical & Quality Director in all aspects of Quality Engineering role, to ensure conformance of product, compliance with applicable regulatory and customer specific standards and continual improvement of the Quality systemwithin the business.Client DetailsPrecision machining, testing and assembly of complex components.Description1. Support the Technical & Quality Director in achieving & maintaining certification to all applicable standards2. Support other members of the Quality team through mentoring and coaching3. Deputise as required for the Technical & Quality Director for all Quality related activities4. Fundamental knowledge of working within a Quality Management System5. Utilising applicable Quality Tools, ensure that non-conformance is detected, contained, investigated and robust actionsto prevent re-occurrence implemented.6. Identify and implement continuous improvement activities across the business7. Define, identify and apply process control methods, identifying critical control points and developing applicable product/ work instructions.8. Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, diagrams, sketches and determine quality and regulatory standards9. Conduct Quality product and system audits10. Provide Engineering support to Visual and CMM inspection and across business as required11. Compile Documentation Packs to aid delivery of productsProfileTo be successful in your application, you will ideally have the following:

  • a precision engineering background, ideally within the aerospace and/or nuclear industry
  • Excellent communication skills
  • First Article Inspection to AS9102
  • Quality audit qualified
  • Trained in the use of applicable Quality Tools
  • Able to interpret drawings and specifications and understand First Principal measurement
  • Ability to interpret and analyse Capability data
Job OfferSalary in the region of £45,000 depending on experience
