Mechanical Maintenance Engineer £45000 - £50000We are seeking an experienced, mechanical biased Maintenance Engineer to perform pro-active and reactive maintenance activities across our clients’ manufacturing facilities.Reporting to the Head of Machining, The work will cover a range of machinery (from manual machines through to 5 axis machining centres) along with fabrication equipment and general facilities maintenance.Principal Duties & Responsibilities Safe Working Environment• Ensure that all work is undertaken safely. Ensure that general housekeeping is maintained in line with the established standards.• Ensure that all standard work procedures are followed as required including any work permits or similar. Maintenance • Install new equipment on site to the required standards and specifications.• Diagnose faults on plant and equipment as required and establish methods for rectification • Ensure any relevant start up procedures are performed following the repair of any plant or equipment.• Ensure any mechanical or electrical work is carried out within the level of competence. Control of Suppliers and Contractors.• Ensure effective procurement of any spare part requirements, including communication with suppliers and the raising of purchase orders.• Ensure any contractors working on site are under suitable supervision and have completed the required contractor induction process.Qualifications / Experience Required; • NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent in relevant discipline• Experience of maintenance on CNC Machine Tools, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical devices • Ability to read drawings and diagrams• Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines and with minimal supervisionWorking Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:30, company pension, onsite parking, sick pay schedule, day shift, overtime paid at 1.5x with weekend availabilityRequired skills
