Job Description

Operations Manager - Flexographic Printing / Packaging IndustryRipley£ CompetitiveMy friendly, expanding client are seeking to recruit an Operations Manager to work within their successful Ripley site. To partner and support the Site Director in developing their growing business, it would be highly possible for the successful candidateto progress to Director level within 1 1/2 to 2 years. Therefore, this is a great opportunity for someone who is experienced in the flexible packaging industry looking to take the next step in their career.Overall Purpose:

  • To manage the Internal Sales team to provide estimates and quotes ensuring commercial control to deliver their profit targets, process Sales Orders and Works Orders and maintain excellent communication with, and deliver high levels of satisfaction for,their customers.
  • To manage the Purchasing and Planning functions
  • To oversee and champion the use of the MRP system within both the offices and the factory and warehouse ensuring accurate data input and adherence to all procedures
  • To ensure adherence to all procedures and systems companywide
  • To develop new systems and procedures to improve the performance of the business
  • To deliver rigorous cost control to meet their financial targets
  • To partner and support the Site Director in developing their growing business
Skills and Experience:
  • Must have experience in the Flexographic printing/packaging industry
  • Confident and pro-active
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • An ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • An ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Professional, highly organised, articulate, self-motivated, team player, customer facing.
