Job Description

Hours: Night shift 6pm - 6am on a 4 on 4 off rotationPurpose of Role: The Mixing Plant Operative will be responsible for the efficient operation and monitoring of the mixing process, operating a fully automatic batching system across the companys two mixing plants. The role involves mixing raw material ingredients togetherinto finished foam or dry blend material, which then feeds into the Extrusion department via internal silos/hoppers or bulk bag. The Mixing Plant operative will also blend up formulations which are compounded for foam skin and injection moulding applications.Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Observe all health and safety guidelines and report safety concerns to management
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Ensure that production requirements and standards are met consistently
  • Carry out daily tasks in the mixing plant with consistent speed and accuracy
  • Operate machinery safely and effectively, in line with the correct operating procedures
  • Accept delivery of incoming raw materials and ensure the correct stock management process is followed
  • Ensure that all required quality checks are carried out as per the company standard
  • Understand and follow the production schedules
  • FLT license would be beneficial
  • Ensure that mixing plant data is logged efficiently and accurately on the system
  • Work cooperatively with the team to meet customer requirements and team targets
  • Previous experience of working in manufacturing / uPVC / extrusion would be beneficial
