Job Description

A strong accountancy firm in Derbyshire (close to Ripley, Heanor and Belper) work with modern systems and are quick growing, so looking to hire into important Management Accountant position.A strong salary, role in a dynamic firm, hybrid working and ongoing career development are on offer.This employer supplies all aspects of financial and accountancy support to a wide variety of clients.The Management accountant will be responsible for the delivery of all Management Accounting work, including:Management Accounts, forecasting, cash flows, Interim CFO, VAT returns, CIS returns and Bookkeeping support, as well as advising clients on all aspects of the day-to-day financial administration of their businesses.You will ideally be an ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant, but those "qualified by their experience" will be considered too, with 5 years experience or more ideally sought.Key Accountabilitys:

  • Core duties include:
    • Back office support
    • CIS returns
    • Interim CFO
    • Management accounts
    • VAT returns
  • Further responsibilities include:
    • Pricing the services
    • Dealing with the current management accounts clients and reviewing the current pricing and work load
    • Making improvements to external and internal procedures
    • Reviewing of the management accounts with the client
    • On-boarding of new clients
    • Monitoring and reporting on costings of the service lines
  • Initially, this will include the physical preparing of certain Management reports on a number of clients
  • Suggest improvements to clients systems and processes where relevant
  • Building and maintaining of client relationships
  • Training team members
  • Helping to on-board & train new employees
  • Client Relationship Management
  • Ownership & development of accounting & bookkeeping software systems
Skills and Knowledge:
  • ACCA / CIMA qualified, part qualified or "qualified by your experience"
  • Excellent customer relationship management and interpersonal skills
  • Personable, pro-active, professional
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
