Job Description

Employer description:The client, Tiedata Ltd, has invested in over £300,000 in their cloud technologies, providing seamless integration with each other, from creating a ticketto the remote controldiagnosticsto electronic documentation. With an end, the goal of all informationis available in a few clickshelping our engineers to focus on customer support.Overview:They are an East Midlands Managed Service Provider, and they are working in partnership with QA Ltd to find a Level 4 Network Engineer that is looking for the next step in their career.You will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills, knowledge and experience as you complete a Network Engineer - Level 4 Apprenticeship.You will be expected to provide a rapid response to a range of service requests, utilising a wide range of skills and experience in several challenging sectors to ensure swift resolutions, optimal data security, and full compliance with all applicable regulations.Main Responsibilities:Customer service:

  • Providing a first point of contact for customers through our helpdesk, be that via phone, email or ticket
  • Delight our Clients with a Friendly, Quick and Helpful Experience
  • Provide the Client with basic remote troubleshooting
USE of our TICKETING SYSTEM:
  • Use our cloud Ticketing System to work on and resolve Helpdesk Tickets & Service Requests
  • Managing and recording all work through our Ticketing System
  • Make sure that Client Documentation is well maintained
  • Split tickets that have several issues into their own individual ticket
  • Make sure that tickets arent stale throughout the process
  • Check clients backupsand achieve file recovery
  • Send out simulated phishing emails to clients
  • Provide cyber-training content to clients
Use of our Cloud Based management systems:
  • From Microsoft Office 365, to Backups to Security technologies the full A-Z portfolio of Cloud based systems.
Development:
  • Go through several vendor training programmes to be familiar with venders technologies; these include Microsoft and many other vendors.
Project Work:
  • Build PCs laptops with our cloud-based management tools, Microsoft applications and customer line of business applications.
  • From time to time, the projects team will need additional resources to help deliver projects either on-site or remotely
  • Migrations from on-premises to cloud-based systems.
  • Migrations from Cloud-to-cloud systems
  • Installation of networking equipment, including firewalls, switches, routers etc.
What we are looking for in an applicant / Essential qualities:
  • Good time keeping
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to learn
  • Able to multi-task ticketing and resolve issues promptly
  • The ability to work as a team
  • Roughly 2 years experience working within a previous IT position
  • Having a UK drivers license and access to a personal car will be highly beneficial [as travelling will be a key feature]
Entry requirements:
  • An A Level in ICT, or
  • An International Baccalaureate at Level 3 in ICT, or
  • A Level 3 apprenticeship in a similar subject, or
  • A BTEC Extended Diploma in IT (180 credits) , or
  • A minimum of 12 months of experience within the last 24 months or 18 months in the last 36 months in an IT role.
Specific roles that are acceptable are:
  1. IT Support roles e.g. Help Desk, First line
  2. Software Development Role
You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme.
