Job Description

Graduate Data AnalystRipley£20,000 - £22,000My friendly, expanding client are seeking to recruit a Graduate to train and progress within their successful Ripley site. The ideal candidate will be a Graduate with a minimum 2:1 numeric based degree i.e. Maths, Economics, Business, Psychology, Physics etc and some commercial / office based experience.Overall Purpose:To pro actively and collaboratively develop Analysis and Insight to support Operations and the senior management team. The site in Ripley is relativity small, but with a £multi -million turnover - therefore this role will exposed to all areas of the business. There are 2 other businesses within their group.Key Accountabilities:

  • Report making to help deliver management decisions
  • Apply analytical and technical ability to ensure the team delivers the highest standards of analysis and reporting
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office product suite, particularly Excel i.e. Pivot Tables
  • Clear, logical analytical approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to investigate data, find trends, forecast performance
  • Become the MRP system Champion (data input, maintaining data integrity, optimising use of the system through ongoing development)
  • General "eyes and ears" procedures and business systems support for Site Director - identifying when we are deviating from the correct path
  • Commercially - supporting the site Director in cost control
  • Additional administrative and general office duties as requested.
    • Skills and Experience:
  • Graduate with a minimum 2:1 numeric based degree i.e. Maths, Economics, Business, Psychology, Physics etc
  • Some commercial / office based experience
  • IT competency, with particularly strong Excel skills. This role will be dealing with very complex Excel spreadsheets.
  • Confident and pro-active
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • An ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • An ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Professional, highly organised, articulate, self-motivated, team player, customer facing
