Job Description

Michelle Denny Recruitment is partnering with Malthouse Security to find them an additional keen and capable Installation Engineer for their communications and security system customers, who are located across East Anglia.You may already be experienced althoughif youve always wanted to find a way into this industry and youre keen to learn, this could be a great way in. All youll need is to be handy with hand tools and have a positive, cheerful and can-do attitude. Salary is around £25,000pa with core hours of08:30am - 17:00pm (with rotas detailed below). Youll have sole use of a company van and will be supplied with all the small tools youll need plus a mobile phone, tablet and fuel card.With Malthouse Securitys customers based across Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex, youll be working from home (ideally based with a 30 mile radius of Diss, Bury St Edmunds or Ipswich), and will only occasionally have the need to pop in to theoffice. Youll be scheduled into the rota well in advance, so youll know when youre working and when youve time off. Youll be attending fault calls, repairs and some small works installation across a multitude of homes and businesses.Youll be working on the low voltage systems below:

Senior call systems
Nurse/lifeline call systems
CCTV fire alarms
Auto doors
Smoke vents
Intruder alarms
Door entry and access control

Youll be included in the schedule rota which is spread between 4 engineers. Youll be on call one night per week (on a pre-designated Mon, Tues, Weds or Thurs) and two weekends per month (Fri, Sat and/or Sun) but dont worry, you can carry on with yourlife, as if any calls come through, theyll be directed to your mobile so you can finish your shopping or meal before you head to your call!Because you will sometimes be visiting vulnerable people, you will be required to take DBS check, which will be funded by the company.
