Work less hours to do the stuff you love doing!Job Title:Literacy Intervention InstructorLocation: Belmont Secondary School, RawtenstallSalary:Up to£21,000per annumHours: 37.5 hours per weekContract: Permanent; term time onlyAre you a Literacy Intervention Instructor committed to improving the lives of children and young peopleAs the Literacy Intervention Instructor, you deliver an affective literacy and phonics intervention program to help students bridge the gap on their peers developing key skills required to become competent in English/reading.Qualifications Required: GCSEs grade C / 4 and above in English, Maths and Science.Job purpose

  • To ensure provision of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students studying in the curriculum area, in accordance with the aims of the school and the curricular policies, in relation to delivering literacy programmes.
  • To contribute to raising standards of student attainment.
  • To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their full potential.
  • To develop and enhance the teaching practice of others in relation to supporting literacy in the classroom.
  • To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students in terms of literacy progression.
