Job Description

Retail business based in the Rawtenstall area requires an Accounts Assistant for their growing team. This is an excellent role for someone with approx 12 months experience who is looking to learn and progress within their career.Reporting to the Finance Manager general day to day responsibilities include:

  • Processing Purchase Ledger invoices
  • Raising customer credit notes & miscellaneous invoices
  • Managing petty cash, including foreign currency
  • Dealing with queries both on the telephone and email - internal and external
  • General finance administration
  • Preparing and processing weekly payment runs by Bacs
  • Reconciling supplier statements
The ideal candidate will:
  • Have experience of working within a finance environment
  • Be focused and self-motivated
  • Have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Exhibit strong IT skills
  • Intermediate knowledge and understanding of Excel
  • Show strong communication skills both face to face and in writing
  • Good problem-solving skills
