Remote - Leeds based employees tend to go in once per month, further afield more ad hoc

My client, a leading software solutions provider in Leeds are actively looking for a Senior Security Analyst to join their existing team. Sitting in a wider team of 20 within this role you will take the lead on remediation activities escalated by the SOCteam (cloud based tooling.) You will liaise with stakeholders throughout the organisation to ensure the correct procedures are in place to keep up with the ever-changing threat landscape.

Extensive experience in security operations and security analytics - in a cloud environment ( AWS preferred but would look at others.)
Experience with security solutions and technologies such as firewall, IPS/IDS solutions, web proxy solutions, EDR, network anomaly detection, spam and spyware solutions, malware/security experience (preferable), SIEM (AWS ELK & Microsoft Sentinel)
Understanding of Windows/AD/Azure authentication
Experience with regex and scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python)
Knowledge of network architecture, implementation, configuration & analysis, packet flow/TCP/UDP traffic etc.
Demonstrated ability to make decisions on remediation and countermeasures for challenging information security threats
Data analysis and analytical problem-solving skills
Knowledge of security best practices and frameworks (ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials +, CIS 18, NIST, ISF, OWASP)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good planning and organisational skills to successfully plan, co-ordinate and own a high number of activities
