Job Description

We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant who is dedicated to helping young children achieve their potential within a school environment. The ideal candidate will need to have a history of supporting young / vulnerable people in a professional capacity.Newly qualified level 2 and level 3 Teaching assistants are encouraged to apply.Details:

  • Location- Heckmondwike
  • Position - Learning Support Assistant
  • Contract or position start date - 19/02/2024
  • Duration / Likely Duration - Contract
  • Contract type - Long-Term
  • Full time/part time - Full time
  • Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate £75 per day
  • Hours - 8:30 AM - 3:45PM : Mon - Fri (term time only)
Responsibilities:
  • Support and scaffold work with children in the classroom.
  • Assist the Teacher with the preparation of resources through class feedback.
  • Work effectively in Partnership with other professionals and parents/carers.
  • Able to adapt professional practice to support the varied needs of children.
  • Behaviour management, Using the schools behaviour policy to effectively manage students.
  • 1:1 and group support with the children
  • Assisting with the delivery of the EYFS/Primary curriculum
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONSAt least Level 2 trainedTO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references
