Job Description

Junior / Trainee Estimator is required to work for one of the UKs leading timber frame construction specialists. Our client has over 60 employees based at their office and manufacturing facilities in West Yorkshire. Our client has builtup a formidable reputation for supplying and erecting the highest quality prefabricated timber frame buildings, for clients ranging from self-builders to large scale developers in residential and commercial sectors.An exciting opportunity has arisen, suitable for an individual with ambition and attention to detail, to join an accomplished commercial team as a Junior / Trainee Estimator.Junior / Trainee Estimator responsibilities

Prepare quotations from drawings and specifications received from prospective clients.
Ensure tenders are prepared to strict deadlines.
Maintain and collate information for handover to design department.
Liaise closely with clients/architects/other departments.
Assist Commercial Manager/Sales Director and other team members where necessary.
Develop a broad understanding of structural design and architectural detailing, as well as commercial aspects of the industry.
Training will be provided.

Junior / Trainee Estimator Requirements

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings/plans/specifications with knowledge of how a building is put together.
Experience/qualification within the construction industry
Knowledge of how a building is made.
Excellent Maths, English and grammar skills are essential.
An eye for detail and methodical
Ability to work alone or as part of a closely integrated team in a high-pressure environment.
Computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. AutoCAD experience would be beneficial.

Junior / Trainee Estimator Remuneration

Salary - £20,000 to £27,000 dependant on experience.
Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4.30pm, Friday 8am to 3pm
