Job Description

Here at Envirowales, we are an industry-leading, lead acid battery recycling plant located in South Wales. We are currently searching for a Process Technician to join us on our Ebbw Vale site.Our aim is to recycle as many of the constituent parts of the battery as possible. Currently we are achieving a recycling efficiency of over 95% and are continuing to work to increase this figure.In this Process Technician role, you will be responsible for the daily operation of a chosen section of the plant (e.g. smelter, refinery, battery breaker, rolling mill). The role may also involve operating handling equipment, processing and analysing batcheswith dedicated equipment to meet quality specifications, and ensuring equipment is working correctly.About the role:

Working under a team leader to manage your plant area
Operating handling equipment to move material in and out of the various processes
Applying chemicals and analysing batches with dedicated equipment to meet quality specifications
Ensuring equipment is working correctly
Ensuring that health and safety standards are met, required procedures are followed, and that good housekeeping standards are maintained

About you:

Previous experience within a heavy industrial environment, preferably metals or chemicals
Some mechanical qualification and good mechanical aptitude would be an advantage
Previous experience in a similar role
Previous experience with mobile plant
FLT Experience essential
Excellent, professional work ethic
Good team working skills and good communication skills
Ability to adapt quickly to a fast paced, dynamic work environment

Shift Allowance - 16% for Days and 24% for nights on x3 shift rotation; 33% for continental shifts
