Teamwork Partnership is currently recruiting for a Research and Development Supervisor for one of their clients in Alconbury Area.Supervise R&D assistants within the APEX team, including delegation of daily activities, organising rota and annual leave, and monitoring of work.Provide support in project delivery and across all daily activities within the facility as required, including preparation of flowers, assessment of samples and facility maintenance for example.Oversee undertaking of critical processes such as database maintenance, photographs, and ordering equipment and consumables, for example.Ensure all team members have received and remain up to date on necessary training (e.g., COSHH), and support the R&D manager in the development, training, and appraisal process for R&D assistants.Liaise with MM Flowers personal and growers to ensure that all samples are scheduled and received correctly.Monitoring and reporting on team and facility performance metrics.Regular reporting to the R&D manager of performance of different cultivars, species, and farms.Support in generating regular reports for key APEX customers (internally and externally).Cover for R&D managers responsibilities in their absence.Ensure you, your team and any visitors comply with all H&S procedures in the area under your control.Correct, or report, unsafe practices, or conditions.Ensure accidents, incidents and dangerous occurrences are dealt with in accordance with company standards.Positively promote a Health and Safety culture as well as to Ensure compliance with hygiene rules and requirements.Maintain a hygienic, clean and tidy working environment at all times.Ensure conformance to work wear requirements.Understand and comply with the company environmental policy.Co-operate with management on environmental matters and implement improvements in your area.Positively promote a culture of hygiene and housekeeping.What You Can Already DoPrevious experience in a supervisory role is very beneficial.Ability to work independently and within a small team that depends on one another to complete daily tasks.Good organisational and planning skills.Problem solving and analytical skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.Carry out tasks to completion within criteria given.Strong IT literacy, with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office.A keen eye for detail.Experience within a scientific environment, particularly undertaking project work, is advantageous.Knowledge of statistics, including the use of statistical packages, is desirable.The ability to understand the wider implications and opportunities that result from work undertaken.Flexible approach to workThe ability to understand the wider implications and opportunities that result from work undertaken.Shifts : Wednesday till Saturday 4/3/3/4Hours of work: 8 am till 6pmMust have previous supervisor experience
