Job Description

Every product and material we make is designed to maximize performance and durability, while minimalizing environmental impact.How will I utilise my expertiseWe have a fantastic opportunity for a methodical and quality-focused Laboratory Technician to test raw materials and finished products in the Lab, ensuring they meet our high specifications. Following training and experience in the role, there will also be the opportunity to support with development project works and quality assurance tasks on site. This role will provide a good mixture of repetitive and new and challenging tasks, so you can be sure that no day will be quite the same.As a Laboratory Technician with SG Industrial Ceramics, your core responsibilities will include:

  • Incoming control of raw materials, including sampling and testing in the Lab.
  • Testing of finished product quality and properties, as well as new products.
  • Logging and maintaining quality control records.
  • Production of test certificates of product quality for customers and customer service department.
  • Supporting the site to ensure delivery dates can be achieved in line with production capacity.

  • Scientific approach in all tasks - experience in data collection and displaying natural science data in particular
  • Apprenticeship in material testing or similar
  • Lab experience (incl. knowledge in destructive testing of brittle materials, preferably ceramics)
  • Knowledge in MS Office, in particular Excel
  • Improvement oriented work style
  • Working Pattern: Monday to Thursday 07:00am to 16:10pm - Friday 7:00am to 13:00pm
