Job Description

Could you support a young woman with learning disabilities to have a great time and learn new skills as she moves into her own homeJemma is happy and interactive, she loves meeting new people and trying new things. She enjoys horse-riding and can’t wait to go back to her favourite theme park once lock-down ends. Jemma has a severe learning disability and epilepsy.She is moving into her new home in the historic village of Radford Semele soon, and we are building the staff team which will support her. That’s where you come in!OutlineYou’ll be an important part of Jemma’s support circle, together with her family and friends. Using your imagination, creativity and sensitivity to her needs, you’ll help her take that next step to living more independently. You’ll learn how Jemma likes to communicate and help her develop new interests.Jemma needs full support in her daily life, including personal care, mobility and medication.You’ll take your turn on a rota which includes days, evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins. We know it can be daunting to start a new job, and not everyone learns the same way, so throughout your probation we will provide you with a mixture of eLearning, face-to-face training and mentoring support whilst on the job.But it doesnt stop there - throughout your career with us you will have access to our own dedicated in house Learning and Development team, Quality Specialists and HR Teams.
