Job Description

Job Title: Estimator/Assistant EstimatorLocation: Pudsey, with Travel RequiredSalary: £25,000 - £30,000 + Commission on Every Job + BenefitsCompany Overview: This company is a leading provider of high-quality PVC and aluminium doors, windows, and conservatories. With a commitment to excellence and a strong presence in the industry, they are seeking a skilled Estimator/AssistantEstimator to join their team. While experience in fitting PVC and aluminium products is not a requirement, we are looking for an individual with a proven track record in estimating, client management, and tendering jobs.Responsibilities:

  1. Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates for projects, considering materials, labour, and overhead costs.
  2. Tendering: Manage the tendering process for projects, ensuring timely and competitive submissions.
  3. Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing inquiries and ensuring client satisfaction.
  4. Travel: Willingness to travel to project sites as needed for assessments and client meetings.
  5. Architectural Drawings: Read and interpret architectural drawings to develop precise project estimates.
  6. Commission: Earn commission on every successfully secured job, incentivizing performance.
  7. Documentation: Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and relevant project documents.
Qualifications:
  1. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Estimator in a related field.
  2. Tendering Skills: Proven experience in managing the tendering process for construction projects.
  3. Client-Focused: Strong interpersonal and client management skills.
  4. Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and mathematical skills for accurate project cost estimation.
  5. Travel: Must be willing to travel for job assessments and client meetings.
  6. Architectural Understanding: Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings.
  7. Commission-Driven: Motivated by performance incentives and commission-based compensation.
  8. Educational Background: Relevant degree or equivalent experience.
