Job Description

ROLE: Application Engineer - GlobalLOCATION: Clitheroefuture relocation to Preston/Leyland area in 12/18 monthsSALARY:Circa £45000 plus Bonus dependant on experienceGrowing as a global manufacturer, this business has established a reputation for quality and reliability within the dry food and dry chemical industries both UK and overseas.We are currently searching for an Application Engineer - Global to join the team supporting the customer experience and sales globally from start to finish.The company culture is one that is positive, warm, welcoming, and driven. We are searching for an individual that has the attitude to naturally go above and beyond. Someone who loves their job and is proud of the results they can and will deliver. Working closelywith customers is key, communicating with them throughout the design, build and fit processes.Application EngineerGlobal - Key skills:

  • Hands on approach to your work is absolutely key.
  • Mechanical Design Engineering Degree or similar is essential.
  • Experience of and understanding of global export.
  • Keen understanding and interest in mechanical engineering for the Food/ confectionery / pharmaceutical /Paint/Bakery or Building industries.
  • 1 year industry experience is ideally.
  • Experience of 3D CAD (Inventor or Solidworks) through studies.
  • Ability to balance many tasks at the same time. Time management is key.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude and manner.
  • Excellent communicator to develop and build customer relationship ensure repeat custom.
  • Positive attitude working as a team and supporting colleagues.
Application EngineerGlobal - Role:
  • This is an internal role to support the Global sales team composing product and project quotes for customers.
  • Working closely with suppliers and agents to maintain margins ensuring each individual project costings are accurate.
  • Cross functional communication.
  • Overseas ravel when required.
  • Technical and pricing support and knowledge to the Global sales team.
  • Ensuring the technical content of all quotes are correct and accurate.
  • Coordination of project quotations across the team.
