Job Description

Opportunity for a production operator to join a global manufacturing company that has been in South Wales for over 40 years. You will earn a salary of £23,250 for working days Monday to Friday, with an early finish on a Friday. There is also an excellentbenefits package on offer including a generous company pension contribution, potential bonus, etc.You will work with power press equipment working from technical drawings to ensure that metal components and parts are manufactured to the required sizes and quality standards.As the production operator, your duties will include:

  • Setting up and operating production equipment
  • Achieving daily production targets
  • Adhering to all EHS and quality requirements
  • Supporting productivity and quality improvements
  • Completing required documentation
  • Following standard operating procedures
  • Reading technical drawings
  • Completing quality checks in line with business requirements using equipment such as verniers / micrometers / etc.
To apply for the production operator position, you will need:
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in a metal-based manufacturing environment working with presses is desirable.
  • The ability to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of Lean and Continuous Improvement tools such as 5S is desirable.
  • Experience in using measuring tools such as verniers, micrometers, etc. is desirable
