Job Description

Opportunity for a health & safety advisor to join a global manufacturing company that has been in South Wales for over 40 years. You will earn a salary of up to £35,000 (dependent on experience) and receive benefits which include a generous pensionscheme.The role will see you work to maintain and manage health, safety and environmental standards and compliance across the site as well as help to drive continuous improvement of these areas.As the health & safety advisor, your duties will include:

Developing safe working practices and driving improvement of the safety culture
Promoting the companys HSE vision and values through appropriate training and communication (Toolbox Talks, etc.)
Maintaining accreditation of ISO:14001/2015 & ISO:45001/2018 standards
Coordinating and supporting the monthly internal and annual external auditing process, providing information, and ensuring all processes are documented / up to date.
Monitoring legal compliance and statutory inspections (LOLER, PUWER, PSSR, etc.).
Monitoring environmental compliance records
Undertaking, recording, and maintaining environmental assessments
Maintaining and monitoring specifications and use of PPE for different job roles.
Reviewing visiting contractors RAMS, Insurance etc. and monitoring control of contractors process, including completion of permit to work.

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
To hold a NEBOSH certificate
IEMA certification is desirable.
Strong communication skills in both written and verbal formats
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
