Job Description

We are working with a provider of social housing to assist them with their search for a Supported Housing Area Manager on a permanent basis.The Area Manager will oversee the operational services ensuring delivery of the Supported housing business plan through a team of Service Managers within your designated area. You will be the operational lead of the Ofsted-registered services (includingyoung parents and young women’s accommodation).The Area Manager also supports the development of new services, and you will lead the bidding and tender processes within your area.You will work with key 3rd party organisations including local authorities, commissioning bodies and commissioners, partner agencies as well as the organisations Executive Management Team.As Area Manager you will be responsible for

  • Performance,
  • Delivery,
  • Management and development of high-quality support services.
In addition, you will ensure services provided meet customers’ needs and aspirations and comply with standards and requirements of the organisation and regulators.We are looking for an individual with relevant senior experience of work and management in supported housing, health, community, or social care, coupled with knowledge and understanding of delivering quality support services (including accommodation basedand floating support) in the following key areas:
  • Customer involvement and empowerment
  • Outcomes focus
  • Personalisation and trauma informed support
  • Needs and Risk assessment.
  • Support and Safety planning
  • Safeguarding
  • Partnership working
  • Strategic commissioning
  • Supported Housing Management
  • Housing and Asset Management
