Here at HM Land Registry, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior User Researcher to join our team based at any of our 14 office locations.Joining on a full-time, Job share or part-time basis you will receive a competitive salary of £38,552 per annum, Croydon £42,099.In line with current government guidance, the role will initially be home-based so induction and training will be carried out remotely, with full support from the team. HMLRs ambition is to become the world’s leading land registry for speed, simplicity and an open approach to data.We are now looking for a Senior User Researcher to join our Digital, Data and Technology team to help us to achieve this.HM Land Registrys existing software systems and services form part of the critical national infrastructure, safeguarding land and property ownership valued at £7 trillion. This enables over £1 trillion worth of personal and commercial lending to be secured against property across England and Wales.Responsibilities of our Senior User Researcherinclude:As a Senior User Researcher, you will help shape how we scope, design and carry out research activities with users to help our teams build a deep understanding of the people that use their services. You will plan and lead research on larger teams and more complex services to help shape service propositions, whilst working directly with the Head of User Research and lead user researchers to align user research activity and the development of HM Land Registry services.You will influence how decisions are made and constructively challenge ways of thinking and support other user researchers by mentoring and upskilling to support the growth and development of the team, whilst sharing insights from research and examples of best practice.What we’re looking for in our Senior User Researcher:To meet the requirements of this role, you will have an understanding of applying a range of user research methods correctly for different lifecycle phases and advising others on these methods. You will have the ability to think strategically and understand wider implications and long-term impacts, as well as demonstrating experience of aligning user research activities to inform decision making and action.You will also have the ability to apply user-centred service design and delivery practices in a government context and have an awareness and understanding of how digital technologies are changing user behaviour, whilst being inclusive in your research of diverse users and choosing appropriate methods to deliver acceptable outputs.Benefits of becoming our Senior User Researcher: We offer very competitive terms, conditions, and benefits.
