Title: PLM Business Transformation Technical Manager Location: Plymouth Type of role: Contract Length of Contract: 18 months Day rate: Negotiable - inside IR35Onsite/Hybrid: some hybrid working available, dependant on project requirementProject OverviewYou will be working within a well-established and successful Electronics Manufacturing facility and as part of a truly global organisation who have in 2022 been part of significant Global Buy out.The strategy of the business following this global buy out and amalgamation of both parties is to ensure that its systems and processes are in the first instance effectively aligned to corporate standards as well as are fit for purpose, to take the businessforward and help to deliver against current and future projects that it will undoubtably secure. As with all such changes ensuring that all users are informed, engaged and trained is essential to a successful transition. Purpose of the job:* This role is required to technically lead the transition and migration to PLM (Product Life Management) & SAP GSI* Ensure part number availability and related documentation from PLM to ERP aiming to place manufacturing orders and/or purchase orders * Ensure that the industrial Master Data is well implemented in the different systems (PLM, ERP, MES)* Support the implementation of new IT systems and their updatesAccountabilities:* Manage technical data for all part involved in project execution, to ensure all these parts are available in project PLM and ERP with relevant properties at expected date to launch manufacturing and purchase orders* Collect, update & crosscheck information between Project teams (PrIDM) and the Products (PIM) team to define and secure exact scope, to be used by Projects (Part Number, Revision, Type, Owner, Origin)* Perform all action/requests in business database dedicated to BoM management to ensure part code availability in the project ERP division (subscription, modification, creation request)* Launch/follow any necessary action with other metier in project team: buyers, logistics, engineering, industrial quality to enrich data in ERP division for manufacturing * Ensure data consistency between the different IT systems: CLAMP, PLM, ERP* Manage the impacts of engineering and process changes in the systems* Support technical change on PLM and ERP* Ensure accuracy of BoMsCompetencies & Skills required:* Experience and expertise in using Engineering Tools (PLM or similar)* Excellent knowledge of Engineering Configuration and Control (including Part Creation/Codification, BOM Structures, Part/Assembly Configuration, Product Version Control, Obsolescence etc.)* Leadership of multi-disciplinary Teams.* Leadership of complex projects and / or similar engineering tool (PLM) transitions.* Excellent analytical skills of data in SAP and ExcelContact Information: Email: Phone: Please note due to the volume of applications, we can only commit to contact those candidates we deem suitable for the position.
