Job Description

Good Morning we are currently recruiting for Devon and Cornwall Police a number of Film Viewers/Data Inputters.These roles are temporary ongoing positions and you will be based at Crownhill Police Station in Plymouth.Working 37 hours a week Monday to FridayPrincipal ResponsibilityTo provide a professional administrative service to support the delivery of a safer roads strategy and to reduce the number of fatal accidents. To regularly provide advice and guidance to colleagues who are job shadowing to ensure they are appropriatelyskilled to deliver an effective service.Administrative Support

  • Maintain a record management systemRecord, store and supply information in accordance with Force policy and legislative requirements
  • Input, retrieve and present data using a computerEnter information correctly using an appropriate computer system, in accordance with legislative requirements and Force policy. Retrieve and present information in a suitable format and supply to relevant personnel
  • Produce and present documents using a computerPresent information accurately and in an appropriate format using a computer. Comply with Force procedures.
  • Prepare and present case filesIdentify and present case materials, working with the CPS to progress the case.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of case filesCarry out quality control on all case papers to ensure compliance with CPS guidelines, legislation and policy
  • Present evidence in court and at other hearingsAttend court and give evidence in accordance with legislation
  • Provide specialist advice and knowledgeProvide specialist advice and knowledge to colleagues, partners and other individuals and agencies to support the achievement of Force objectives and enable compliance with Force policy
  • Provide customer serviceProvide and promote service to customers in a professional manner in line with Force policy and legislative requirements
  • Develop and produce evidential photographic imagesDevelop and produce evidential photographic images complying with customer instructions. Operate printing equipment correctly and in accordance with health and safety requirements
  • Perform specialist technical or manual tasksPerform specialist technical or manual tasks according to professional, occupational or organisational standards
