Job Description

Here at HM Land Registry, we have 2 exciting Cyber Security Assurance Advisor opportunities availableto join the team at any of our 14 office locations.This is a permanent position and can be full-time or part-time (flexible working will also be considered). In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £33,839 per annum (Croydon £37,290).In line with current government guidance, the role will initially be home-based so induction and training will be carried out remotely, with full support from the team. Once safe to do so, you will be based in one of our 14 office locations.Birkenhead, North West, CH41 6DU : Croydon, London, CR0 2AQ : Coventry, West Midlands, CV1 3BH : Durham, North East, DH1 5TR : Weymouth, South West, DT4 9TT : Gloucester, South West, GL1 1DQ : Kingston upon Hull, Yorkshire and the Humber, HU2 8JN : Leicester,East Midlands, LE3 5DR : Nottingham, East Midlands, NG1 7AU : Peterborough, Eastern, PE1 1QF : Plymouth, South West, PL6 5WS : Preston, North West, PR4 1TE : Swansea, Wales, SA7 9FQ : Telford, West Midlands, TF3 4LRAs a Cyber Security Assurance Advisor, you will be joining the Cyber Security Assurance team to undertake multiple activities to gather evidence on the security of HMLR assets e.g. interviews, sampling, design review, IT health checks andcontrols testing. The team analyse findings from these activities to provide confidence that HMLR is sufficiently secured against HMGs Minimum Cyber Security Standard and make recommendations on areas for investment and improvement.Within HMLR, the Cyber Security Assurance team:- Provides impartial assurance that cyber security risks to HMLR are managed effectively.- Provides HMLR and senior leadership with confidence that business processes, projects and supporting assets are well protected and effectively risk managed by HMLR.- Provides assurance that the security of department is enough to enable HMLR to securely meet business objectives.- Provides HMLR with a professional opinion of where and how the departments security posture could be improved.Responsibilities of our Cyber Security Assurance Advisor:A Cyber Security Assurance Advisor will work within the team to enable the assurance activity to be undertaken. Utilising security knowledge to provide security assurance, and therefore confidence, to the product owner that their product is appropriatelysecured and therefore that HMLR is secure to deliver its priorities.- Gather and analyse information, resolving issues where necessary- Contribute to the production of assurance reports which will provide confidence to product owners- Support HMLRs compliance with ISO27001, HMGs Minimum Cyber Security Standard, PCI-DSS, and NCSCs Cyber Assessment FrameworkWhat were looking for in our Cyber Security Assurance Advisor:To be successful in this role you will need certification in recognised cyber security professional qualifications or evidence of working towards.
