Job Description

About the opportunity:We are the internal recruitment partner for our client, a successful, family-owned supplier to the catering and hospitality industry with an established presence across the UK.We are presenting an exciting opportunity for a highly driven, customer centric Business Development Executive to join their small team based at their depot in Plymouth.As a Business Development Executive, you will make outbound calls to their existing client base, forging strong relationships and providing excellent service. A key focus of your role will be promoting the awareness of their wider productrange and identifying and maximising upselling and cross selling opportunities to drive sales for your area.You will report directly into the Telesales Manager and become an integral part of the Southwest sales team.The successful candidate will have proven B2B sales experience, with a strong background in outbound sales calling. You will be a confident communicator with the drive and motivation to consistently hit and exceed set targets.This is a fantastic opportunity to join an energetic, focused, and successful business where you can apply and further enhance your skills.RequirementsWho we are looking for:The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Proven sales experience, ideally within the food distribution sector.
  • Highly self-motivated and results driven with a ‘hunter sales approach.
  • Ability to build and nurture strong business relationships with customers.
  • Ability to multitask and work to deadlines in a busy environment.
  • Highly confident, resilient, and adaptable, with the ability to adjust your approach and cater to specific customer needs.
  • Ability to work in collaboration with other departments to maximise customer service and increase sales.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good time management with the ability to work on your own initiative.
  • Meticulous and thorough attention to detail.
  • Computer literate with proficiency across Microsoft Office packages.
  • Live within a commutable distance to the Plymouth depot.
