Job Description

Were looking for a BIM Manager to join our Major Projects Devonport department based in Plymouth, Devon. Within this role you can enjoy 26 days annual leave, sharesave scheme, family friendly policies and even more.Location: Plymouth, Devon.Contract: PermanentSalary: Competitive + benefits ResponsibilitiesAs a BIM Manager youll be working within the major projects Devonport team, supporting them with the refurbishment of the 10 dock at Devonport. As the authority for Building Information Modelling (BIM) this role will drive and support the use of digital designand asset information, ensuring compliance with industry standards, Kier policy and meeting client requirementsYour day to day will include:

  • Monitor the completion of BIM Gateway forms throughout the project lifecycle management (PLM) to fulfil assurance procedures relating to early assessment of design team capability and internal resource considerations.
  • Oversee the establishment of project goals and work flows so that they are planned, defined, understood and recorded in Project Execution Plans (PEP) and BIM Execution Plans (BEP)
  • Support the design teams to develop accurate 3D designs in accordance with the scheme requirements.
  • Assist the design team to get the most out of the key design and authoring software used and smooth the way for delivery into federated models.
  • Work with multiple stakeholders to manage and mitigate design risk through the use of federation tools for clash reviews.
Who are we looking forThis role of BIM Manager is great for you if:
  • Ability to motivate and lead a team, and work in a team environment
  • Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency and meet challenging work goals
  • Good management and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Confident in the use or thorough understanding of the key design and authoring software (3D Civils, Revit, Solibri, ProjectWise)
  • Experience of implementing ISO19650.
  • You have demonstrable excellence in supporting the delivery of design, construction & commissioning of large water sector related projects
