Job Description

Do you have the commitment and values to make a genuine difference to vulnerable adults Are you passionate about empowering people to reach their potential and improve their quality of lifeReed Community Care provides person centred care to the people we support and focus on their individual needs and wants to give them the best possible outcomes and we encourage independence and community engagement.We have an excitingoutreach role for an energetic male support worker to work with an adult male with Austism, Aspergers, Tourettes syndrome and dyspraxia.He enjoys going out in the community and taking part in activities such as horse riding, cycling and swimming and wants to maintain his usual routines as much as possible despite Covid 19. When accessing the community he needs to be supervised at all times and especially when crossing the road to make sure he is safe. You will need to feel comfortable with loneworking.You will also need to have 6 months’ care experience working with a range of clients.This will be a temporary position paying £10.75 per hour.Weekday and weekend hours available and shifts available over the Christmas period. Hours will vary.Main Duties and Key Responsibilities:

  • Loneworking
  • Helping the client to become independent.
  • Keeping records
  • Engaging the client in activities in the community, such as cycling and horse riding
  • Inspire and encourage clients engage in all aspects of daily living
