Job DescriptionIBP Group are a global market leader who have been in business for 110 years, manufacturing and distributing a range of fittings and valves for specification and industrial markets through our facilities in the UK and Europe and we are seeking a Group Senior Graphic Designer to join our successful and growing business.OverviewThe Technical Marketing Writer will have the proven ability to quickly develop a detailed understanding of the company’s products, services and applications in order to compose clear and coherent technical information, for the purpose of producing technical literature.Reporting toGroup Technical ManagerKey Responsibilities Have a thorough understanding of the audience and the documentation required by meeting with colleagues, and working cross-functionally to discuss technical, installation and marketing requirements Build knowledge about products, services, technology, and concepts to be documented Determine the clearest and most logical way to present information and instructions for greatest reader comprehension and write and edit technical information accordingly Work with technical, sales and marketing colleagues to ensure that the finished documentation meets requirements, including technical brochures, sales flyers, installation instructions, story boards for videos, etc. Audit materials periodically to ensure they are current and accurate and communicate any changes to the relevant departments to process Remain up to date with and interpret technological and product developments relevant to the industry (including universal specifications, approvals and regulations) Any other technical writing requirements deemed necessary by the business Person Specification Bachelor’s degree, diploma or NVQ in a technical related field with excellent English written skills Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role (HVACR experience is beneficial) Experience of working with technical products in a B2B environment Basic CAD or InDesign skills would be beneficial but not essential Advanced skills in Microsoft Office including word, excel and PowerPoint are essential A keen eye for detail with the ability to collate technical information and present it in a user-friendly way Good attention to details and proof-reading skills Conformance to brand guidelines is essential Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with cross-functional teamsPackage Attractive salary Contributory pension 5% Life assurance 5 weeks annual holiday, plus statutory days Flexible working hours with a blended of working environment - home working & office
