Job Description

General Manager for Historic Venue in KentKudos, a leading independent caterer, is looking for a General Manager to run the catering operations at the iconic Penshurst Place and Gardens.This role is tasked with managing the team, working collaboratively with sales to drive revenues, being a partner to the client, and driving operations to deliver maximum revenues and profitability retail, and banqueting across multiple outlets.Key focuses of the role

  • Create a dynamic work environment that drives performance
  • Develop and maintain a positive client-partner relationship
  • Lead and develop the onsite team to ensure operational excellence
  • Focus on development and implementation new revenue opportunities and relationships with the client across all areas
  • Grow the business and exceed sales targets while maintaining GP
  • Monitor and manage weekly trading forecast and delivery
  • Take responsibility for the introduction of new initiatives which add value and create an environment for change and excellence
  • Set, monitor, and achieve internal and Client KPIs
  • Adherence and understanding of all systems to ensure retention of our four ISO’s, quality, environment, health and safety and food safety
    • Ideal candidate
  • An experienced General Manager or Operations Manager with retail and banqueting experience of 200+ covers
  • Proven ability to build strategy for the evolution of a business in partnership with others, delivering commercial return
  • Creative and innovative foodie with a passion for the industry
  • Experience of logistics and planning, a great operator with flair and innovation
  • Excellent management skills, with a passion for developing people and sharing of best practises
  • Must have outstanding communication and presentation skills, including the ability to listen and manage a range of stake holders
