As the Head of Medical Data to Insights you will be responsible to lead a team of data analysts, data scientists, and global insight leads to develop and deliver analytical solutions to help generate potential insights.These findings will be aligned with strategic priorities of the prioritized assets within the prioritized Global LOCs/Regions.This role will provide YOU with the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following…

  • Lead a talented technical and scientific team, working to develop the strategy for transforming Medical Data to Insights and lead the implementation of data science and analytics solutions that can help inform scientific strategy and identify medical unmet needs.
  • Design and implement ML information extraction
  • Probabilistic matching algorithms and models
  • Research and develop innovative, scalable solutions
  • Identify data sources and analyse large, complex datasets to extract insight
  • Lead the design and launch of innovative and complex analytic models, utilizing a blend of contemporary and traditional data mining techniques, which, when applied to both structured and unstructured data sets, drive insights and benefits not otherwise apparent.
  • Translate TA strategic goals into data-based deliverables, using quantitative analysis, statistical modelling, predictive and prescriptive analytics, optimization and attribution algorithms, pattern detection analysis, etc.
  • Develop and implement a standardised framework for analytics projects, from requirements capture through to benefits demonstration.
  • Define and implement strategies for managing analytical models and monitoring their performance over time
  • Championing the development of infrastructure and analytics environments that facilitate the delivery of value from the Data Science and Analytics team.
  • Leads, mentors, evaluates and develops the team within Data Science & Analytics to ensure that the area achieves its objectives and complies with all relevant regulations and laws.
  • Serve as “translator” between scientific problems and data science solutions.
  • Deliver AI/ML models from conception, through development and into production
  • Why youBasic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
  • MA/MS/PhD in Medical or applied quantitative sciences discipline
  • 8-10 years of experience (including 3+ years in healthcare/medical affairs) in quantitative analysis related fields applying analytics and insights for business decisions (research, analytics, forecasting, etc.)
  • Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
  • 2+ years of unstructured data analysis/text analytics/natural language processing and/or machine learning application for critical business decisions
  • 2+ years of experience in database management, data reporting and analytics, data visualization for business consumption, applying best practices with data structures for analytics and reporting, data manipulation, and database and analytics skills to develop insightful measures for actions and decision
  • Strong pharmaceutical/industry experience working with Medical Affairs
